Over the course of my life I have endured difficult losses. The hardest one was losing nine family members on Christmas Eve 2008.
Through every loss, I have learned, grown, and evolved. My personal experience with loss, grief, and trauma have taught me about perseverance, faith, love, and hope more than any book or class. I grew to accept the hardships in my life as stepping stones along my grief journey. Each step opened a new path to healing.
But, I didn’t do it all alone. I looked for appropriate resources, peers, and professionals to support me so that I may have the best opportunities to heal and move forward.
As a graduate of the first Grief Educators certification course taught by author and grief expert, David Kessler, I am now able to offer the additional tools, education, and resources that will allow me to support others with grief and loss.
I feel I’ve been called to serve in this way. It has become part of my purpose and mission.
And so the journey continues. I feel immense gratitude for the joy I have in my life and hope that I may have the opportunity to share it with others.
With love, hope, and healing,
Leticia Yuzefpolsky
